Former Tasplan investment manager John Harman has rejoined Tasmanian public sector superannuation fund RBF.

After retiring from his position at Tasplan, John Harman has joined the board of Tasmanian public sector superannuation fund Retirement Benefits Fund (RBF).

An RBF spokesperson said a board position became vacant after the resignation of two member-elected representatives.

Harman was elected by members of the Tasmanian Accumulation Scheme.

"John had contested the elections and was the next most successful candidate," the spokesperson said.

Prior joining the RBF board Harman was the Tasplan investment manager.

However, he has had a long association with RBF, which culminated in the position of RBF executive manager investments.

"John started his term by attending the January board meeting and is also a member of the board's investment and asset allocation committee," the spokesperson said.

His current term is due to run to 30 June 2010.
