Investment specialist appointed to service financial planners

Investment Manager Perennial has hired Angelo Saltarelli as a product and investment specialist where he will focus on servicing financial planners in Victoria.

"We are finding that planners today want high value-add investment updates and insights delivered to them in an efficient way and Angelo is just the type of investment focussed professional to deliver this service," Perennial head of retail funds management Brian Thomas said.

Saltarelli previously worked with global fund manager ING.

In November Perennial hired Brian Thomas to assist the company in building a retail presence. Thomas was previously with Credit Suisse Asset Management as head of distribution. In December, the manager brought over IOOF's Matt Harrison to be part of Thomas's retail team. Harrison was responsible for IOOF's retail business.

Perennial now has a team of four investment specialists located in Victoria, NSW, Queensland and Western Australia.

"The appointment of Angelo completes our team of investment specialists and enables us to provide high level service to financial planners across Australia," Thomas said.
