Principle Advisory Services has hired former MTAA Superannuation Fund trustee John Rickus as its chair.

Principle Advisory Services has hired former MTAA Superannuation Fund trustee John Rickus as its chair.

"The appointment of Rickus consolidates the growth of our business. The company has grown to 10 people since it began five years ago and we are now just formalising our business structure," Principle director Lachlan Douglas said.

Rickus has more than 11 years experience as a superannuation fund trustee and is a director of Adelaide Airport, Brisbane Airport and chair of Flinders Ports.

He is also the independent chair of the audit committee of the Federal Court of Australia.

"We will gain immeasurable insight from his counsel across a range of industry issues that he has encountered as a trustee. Principle sees the super funds as our real clients, and John knows how these funds tick, what services they require and what they will need going forward," Principle founder and managing director Les Fallick said.
