Following success in the US and Asia, Australian fund manager eyes the UK market.

Macquarie Funds Management has launched three of its alternative investment funds in private equity, infrastructure and property to the UK.

"These funds have been very successful for Macquarie in Australia and Asia, with the infrastructure securities capability also penetrating the United States market. It is time to bring these opportunities to UK investors," Macquarie Funds Management head of distribution Bruce Murphy said.

"UK distribution is a logical extension of the global investment capability that has been developed by Macquarie Funds Management over the last three years."

The CF Macquarie Global Private Equity Securities Fund, the CF Macquarie Global Property Securities Fund and the CF Macquarie Global Infrastructure Fund will be available to both retail and institutional clients in the UK.

"We believe this is the first time UK investors will have easy access to the global investment opportunities offered by listed infrastructure and listed private equity securities," Murphy said.
