Decimal in talks with super funds

The technology service provider is in talks with super funds about securing agreements to provide its intra-fund advice software.

Technology service provider Decimal is in talks with several major industry and corporate superannuation funds to provide intra-fund advice software, according to Decimal chief executive Jan Kolbusz.

The decision follows the firm's deal with Pillar Administration to offer single-issue advice software, which was signed in March.

"A big focus for us now is the superannuation sector. We are now in talks with large industry and corporate funds to take up the intra-fund advice software," Kolbusz said.

The firm is currently working with Pillar's superannuation clients to implement the software.

Kolbusz said intra-fund advice offered the opportunity for funds to engage their members with financial advice.

"Engaging members through simple, low cost advice is a way for people to be introduced to financial planning. If they feel the need, they can then opt for more complex advice," he said.

Kolbusz said Decimal's software was scalable and therefore people could choose the level of advice they needed.
