AMP Capital Brookfield has hired an analyst for its Hong Kong team and expat Tim Jarvis is returning to Australia.

AMP Capital Brookfield has hired Lily Yang as an investment analyst to its Asian real estate securities team.

Yang will work in the firm's Hong Kong office with Charles Wong and Jessica Pham.

Yang previously worked for Hong Kong-based hedge fund manager Match Point Investments.

Meanwhile, Tim Jarvis will leave the firm's real estate securities team, however, he will remain with AMP Capital, relocating to Sydney from Singapore.

Jarvis will initially work on a three-month collaboration project between the Asian equity and fixed income teams focusing on Asian property stocks.

In October 2009, AMP Capital Investors signed an agreement with Brookfield Investment Management, which created a $6 billion global listed real estate and infrastructure group.

The agreement followed a partnership between the two firms that began in 2002.
