A Swiss-based fund manager specialising in insurance-linked securities has partnered with a third-party marketer.

Secquaero Advisors, an investment manager specialising in insurance-linked securities, has partnered with Plus Capital Investment Management to distribute its products to local investors.

"Insurance-linked assets are increasingly recognised by institutional investors as providing diversification at attractive returns. We are pleased to be bringing our capabilities to the Australian institutional marketplace," Secquaero managing partner Dirk Lohmann said.

The Switzerland-based fund manager provides investment strategies for clients wanting to add insurance-linked risk assets to their portfolio.

The insurance-linked securities include catastrophe bonds and non-catastrophe insurance risk strategies such as life insurance risks.

The firm was established in 2007 and includes nine people. The firm's co-founder, Lohmann has worked for Hannover Re and Zurich Financial Services.

"We look forward to working with Plus Capital in the Australian institutional community for many years to come," Lohmann said.
