UBS small caps co-portfolio manager Mark Buizen has left the firm.

Buizen joined UBS in July 2004, when Michael Cowin jumped ship to AMP Capital Investors.

UBS said co-portfolio manager John Campbell would continue to run the portfolio, while Buizen's replacement is small caps analyst Stephen Wood.

Wood joined a year ago from UBS Investment Bank.

The fund's one-year return of 31.83 per cent is about 5.5 percentage points behind the 37.35 per cent average in the mid-small-cap blend category.
