Colonial First State has awarded investment manager Ixis Asset Management a $450 million global mandate.

Colonial First State has awarded investment manager Ixis Asset Management a $450 million global mandate.

The mandate will be part of Colonial's retail platform, FirstChoice, under its fixed interest option.

It will be managed by Ixis' investment partner Loomis Sayles.

The mandate will invest in traditional bonds as well as high-yield securities, emerging market debt and senior bank loans.
