Macquarie Funds Management (MFM) has hired Mark Harrison as a portfolio manager for its Australian equities team.

Macquarie Funds Management (MFM) has hired Mark Harrison as a portfolio manager for its Australian equities team.

Harrison will joint manage the Macquarie High Conviction Fund with MFM head of equities Patrick Hodgens.

He previously worked for Alliance Bernstein as a senior research analyst. He was responsible for research on the consumer, infrastructure and healthcare sectors for both of Alliance Bernstein's Australian and global funds.

MFM's equities team has plans to hire an additional dealer, fundamental analyst and quantitative analyst. No timeline has yet been confirmed.

 
 

The team of 22 includes eight portfolio managers, eight quantitative analysts, four product managers and two dealing staff.
