Bravura expands functionalities of its Garradin investment management system.

Bravura Solutions has entered an agreement with Canadian financial analytics system provider Fincad for the use its analysis system.

Fincad's system supports the pricing and risk analysis of securities and will be added to Bravura's Garradin investment management system.

The addition of the program addresses the need among Bravura's buy-side clients for solutions that offer independent and transparent valuations of their securities, particularly for over-the-counter derivatives, the company said.

"Garradin clients will be provided with seamless access to industry standard analytics to value and assess the risk of their derivatives and debt securities," Bravura Group chief executive Iain Dunstan said.

"The library's comprehensive coverage includes all major asset classes, covering a full range of exotic and vanilla instruments," he said.

Garradin is a multi-currency investment management system with integrated asset management, registry and tax management functions. Bravura acquired the Garradin business in 2007.

Fincad's analytics system will also be considered for other Bravura products.

The companies did not disclose any financial details of the contract.
