Ipac launches new initiative to improve advice services.

Ipac has started a new project that will look at how it can improve its advice services.

The project, which is called 5th generation advice, will look at how the Axa-owned dealer group can create stronger relationships with clients. It will also include a review of its products.

"This initiative is about evolving our advice proposition," an ipac spokesperson said.

"We want to take our advice to the next level through deeper engagement with clients that incorporates insights across many areas, including behavioural finance where [ipac executive chairman] Arun Abey has done a lot of work," he said.

"We also want to revisit the solutions we deliver to clients to see if there are opportunities to meet client needs even more effectively."

To support this project, ipac has appointed Kate Carroll to the newly-created role of financial communications specialist, effective 12 April this year.

Carroll has recently worked as a freelance financial writer for ING Financial Planning and RetireInvest. She also had a stint as a communications officer for Greenpeace.

"Kate's role has been created with the aim to connect with clients through communications that are more engaging or more aligned with their personal interests, be those investment interests, charitable activities, lifestyle interests or just general interests," the spokesperson said.

"We expect to be very innovative in the way we communicate," he said.

Ipac last week said it had found a new general manager of financial planning in Libby Roy. She will also start on 12 April this year.
