Hostplus adds Paul Watson to its ranks.

Industry super fund Hostplus has hired Paul Watson as Hostplus member and consumer choice executive manager.

Watson was previously the chief executive of MilitarySuper, a role he left in October  last year after two years at the helm. He was succeeded by Michael Seton.

Watson will lead and manage the Hostplus' member and consumer choice division, including developing new products and services, and will report directly to the fund's chief executive David Elia.

He will also be responsible for producing and implementing the division's strategic and business plans.

"Hostplus is looking to develop and enhance the products and services available to our members, especially as they approach and enter retirement," Elia said.

"Paul's key role will be the operation and administration of these offerings to our members and especially those seeking to utilise pre and post retirement advice, pensions and other retirement products," he said.

"We look forward to working with him on an array of exciting member and consumer choice initiatives and campaigns we plan to develop and launch in the near future," Elia said.
