Alan Kwan is set to join Alleron Investment Management.

WorkCover NSW investment management director Alan Kwan will join Ascalon-backed Australian equities fund manager Alleron Investment Management as an equity analyst.

"Alan has a strong analytical mind both qualitatively and quantitatively. He also understands our investment beliefs and approach. We believe Alan will make a very positive contribution to our stock selection process," Alleron chief investment officer Albert Hung said.

Kwan will finish up at WorkCover this week.

WorkCoverNSW has not yet found a replacement. "WorkCover is planning to advertise for his position in due course," a WorkCover spokesperson said.

At WorkCoverNSW, Kwan managed the Australian and global equity portfolios of the $11.5 billion Workers Compensation Insurance Fund.

Kwan has been with WorkCover since September 2007, and prior to that was an investment consultant at Aon Consulting.

He has also worked as portfolio manager at Allianz Capital Managers, where he was responsible for European and global equity portfolios.

Alleron is a high conviction, growth orientated Australian equity manager with funds under management of $2 billion.
