Freshwater starts hiring advice

Freshwater has partnered with companies in their search for staff.

Financial services advisory firm The Freshwater Partnership has launched a recruitment advisory service that supports companies in their search for staff.

The service was between a traditional recruitment service and an in-house search, and thereby reduced the cost of the process, Freshwater Partnership principal Peter Dawson said.

"The do-it-yourself approach can be successful if you have the time and resources to undertake this labour-intensive activity in addition to your core business responsibilities," Dawson said.

"However, often executives find the demands of recruitment a major challenge and adopt an ad hoc approach that is at best hit and miss.

"The other option, hiring a recruiter, may provide you with the staff you require, but this can be at a significant cost to your business. Fees typically range from 15 per cent to 25 per cent of the new staff member's base remuneration."

The firm's recruitment advisory service provides a range of recruitment tools, ongoing advice and candidate communication throughout the recruitment process on a fee-for-service basis.

"You can expect that the fees for our recruitment advisory service will be less than half the cost of using a recruiter," Dawson said.
