A former UniSuper executive has joined ACSI.

The Australian Council of Superannuation Investors (ACSI) has appointed Paul Murphy as institutional investments manager.

Murphy spent more than 9 years with UniSuper, where he was executive manager of marketing and business development, reporting to the fund's chief executive.

He left UniSuper in August last year, and has since held several consultancy roles, including for Strategic Advantage and Implications Consulting, where he was a principal consultant.

At ACSI, he will represent and help to advance the interests of the council's members through the integration of environmental, social and governance investment risk into the Australian investment management process and development of investment programs with fund managers and asset consultants.

He will also contribute to ACSI's strategic work, including research, advocacy and corporate engagement programs.
