Charter Hall confirms Dundas to lead retail REIT.

Charter Hall has confirmed Scott Dundas as head of the Charter Hall Retail Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT) and appointed him as fund manager.

Dundas had been leading the company as acting chief executive since the departure of the trust's previous chief executive, Steven Sewell.

Sewell left the company in January this year for Centro Retail Australia.

"We are very pleased to have secured Scott to lead the REIT. Given his 14 years' experience with the REIT and 30 years' property experience overall, we believe he will be a valuable addition to the company and drive a positive result for unitholders," Charter Hall Retail Management chairman John Harkness said.

Dundas has previously held the title of chief investment officer with the company.

REIT have circa $9 billion of funds under management across the office, retail, industrial and residential sectors.
