Towers Watson has expanded its Australian investment research team.

Consultancy firm Towers Watson has appointed Ben Trollip as an investment research consultant in its Australian investment business.

Trollip joined the firm from New Zealand consultancy firm Melville Jessup Weaver, where he was a member of the Australian fixed interest manager research team.

Melville provides actuarial consulting advice, education and software solutions in the areas of insurance, superannuation, New Zealand voluntary long-term savings scheme KiwiSaver, asset management, financial analysis and risk management.

The firm has an alliance with Towers Watson.

"Ben's move from our New Zealand affiliate is an example of Towers Watson's global and collaborative approach," Towers Watson Australia investment services director Graeme Miller said.

"This appointment continues a long tradition of sharing research resources across the world which allows our clients to receive the benefit of our team's wide-ranging global knowledge and experience," he said.
