JP Morgan has been appointed to provide custodial and fund services to Invesco Australia and Aviva Investors Australia.

According to a statement, JP Morgan will be responsible for providing custody, portfolio administration and transfer agency services to both investment managers.

JP Morgan Australia and New Zealand head of custody and fund services Nadia Schiavon said choosing the right custodial partner is becoming increasingly important for investment managers.

“For Invesco Australia and Aviva Investors, JP Morgan’s appointment highlights their mutual requirement for a global provider with a consistent and unified operating model that can partner at a local level to meet their rapidly evolving needs,” Ms Schiavon said.

Aviva Investors head of business development Australasia Brett Jackson said: “Aviva Investors requires a securities services provider that can seamlessly insert themselves into our global ecosystem and support our structure.

“JP Morgan knows how to do this, locally and in markets around the world, and has hit the ground running from the commencement of our engagement.

“It will be a win-win partnership for both parties,” he said.
