Scott McMullen, former head of financial institutions at Citigroup Corporate and Investment Banking, has been named as the treasurer of Suncorp Bank.
Suncorp Bank chief financial officer David Carter said: “Scott brings with him extensive investment banking and capital market experience, a thorough understanding of balance sheet optimisation and risk management, and exceptional stakeholder management skills.
“Having someone of Scott’s calibre lead our Treasury team puts us in a very strong position, particularly in the complex macro-economic and regulatory landscape we operate in, marked by constant change and a heightened focus on structured capital management and risk management.”
Commenting on his appointment, Mr McMullen said he looks forward to “capitalising” on opportunities.
“There are some exciting prospects for Suncorp Bank and I look forward to building on its strong reputation,” he said.
