Ms Scroggie makes the move from UniSuper, where she was responsible for corporate marketing. She has previously worked in media roles at Cbus and Media Super.
In her new role as associate director, Ms Scroggie will support the delivery of member engagement, policy and retirement initiatives.
KPMG director of wealth management advisory David Bardsley expressed his delight with the appointment, saying Ms Scroggie is well-suited to the role.
“Maryanne’s skills and experience fill a genuine market gap and I’m excited to have her help our clients manage the member engagement, policy and retirement issues with which they are currently grappling,” he said.
David Duncan, formerly of Macquarie Wealth, will also join the KPMG wealth team, bringing his experience in financial advice to the business.
Mr Bardsley said the appointments would support the business to deal with the “challenges and opportunities facing the superannuation sector”.
“We are committed to recruiting the expertise needed to ensure our clients have access to some of the industry’s best people to partner with them in solving the problems they face,” he said.
