Bennelong expands analyst team

Bennelong Long Short Equity Management has named Justin Hay as the firm's newest senior investment analyst.

Mr Hay joins Bennelong Long Short Equity Management (BLSEM) from Optimal Fund Management Australia, where he served in a similar role.

BLSEM principal Richard Fish said the addition of Mr Hay would make the team “more robust than ever” and enable the business to focus on its investment solutions.

“Justin brings with him extensive experience and industry insights, we have deepened our specialist long short equities talent pool substantially over the past couple of years,” he said.

Prior to his role with Optimal Fund Management Australia, Mr Hay worked with Goldman Sachs Australia as executive director of institutional research sales, and has over 18 years’ experience in the securities industry, both locally and abroad.

Mr Hay’s is a Chartered Financial Analyst charter holder and joins the company after the appointment of Daniel Sanelli as an analyst in June of this year.
