The management spin-off of Goldman Sachs Asset Management Australia has appointed Brett Davidson as its chief operating officer.

Mr Davidson – former Victorian Funds Management Corporation chief operating officer – will join the newly-rebranded Yarra Capital Management as chief operating officer.

Dion [Hershan] leads a team which is highly regarded in the industry, and it’s great to be on board to oversee the investment support functions, along with client-facing services and distribution, Mr Davidson said.

Private equity firm TA Associates announced it was backing a management buyout of GSAM Australia’s investment capabilities and fund platform in September 2016.
