Mr Kemp, who has 20 years of experience in the asset management industry, will join Frontier Advisors on 20 June 2016.
He joins from Chimaera Capital Management, where he was based in Singapore and, more recently, Melbourne.
Frontier Advisors chief executive Damian Moloney said Mr Kemp has a broad geographic focus across global markets with a "strong bias to Asia and emerging markets".
“With more than 15 years’ direct portfolio management experience, Andrew will add even more depth and insight to our ranks and rounds out what we firmly believe is now the market’s leading investment and manager research team," Mr Moloney said.
"At a headcount of 53, Frontier is better resourced than ever before, both in terms of numbers but, importantly, in terms of the breadth and depth of our experience," he said.
