Mr Gambi has worked in the financial services industry for 25 years, and has held positions with AMP Capital, Westpac and Lehman Brothers.
In his new role, Mr Gambi will look after “the institutional, corporate, government and ultra high-net-worth segments” of the business, reporting to BNY Mellon Investment Management Australian country head Phil Filippelis.
“We are delighted to have someone of Denis’ experience join our Australian investment management business. Denis has a deep understanding of investment markets, product and regulation, making him a great fit for our business,” Mr Filippelis said.
“Our Australian business is experiencing great momentum particularly across private debt, alternatives and multi-asset strategies. Denis joins us at a time where a number of our specialist boutique capabilities are in broad demand amongst institutional investors.”
