Mr Lobb has worked in portfolio management and analytical roles for more than 25 years, having previously held positions with Orion Asset Management, Citigroup Global Asset Management and Credit Suisse Global Asset Management.
Insync Funds Management chief investment officer Monik Kotecha said Mr Lobb was a good fit for the company and that his experience would be of benefit to the business.
“John has an outstanding track record and was an integral part of a successful investment team at Orion, which raised and managed $6.5 billion in funds under management,” he said.
“He shares a similar philosophy to ours of investing in high quality businesses that are benefitting from global megatrends combined with the active management of downside risk.”
Mr Lobb will work alongside Mr Kotecha on the business’ Global Titans portfolios.
