Hostplus has appointed former Jana senior consultant Greg Clerk as the industry fund's new head of investment strategy, reporting to chief investment officer Sam Sicilia.
In the new role, Mr Clerk will be involved in developing investment strategy, portfolio construction, asset allocation strategies, manager selection and other investment-related decisions, according to a statement by Hostplus.
Hostplus chief executive David Elia said Mr Clerk will bring a "wealth of experience" to the fund.
"He has been working with our fund for over 13 years in his role as a senior consultant at JANA," Mr Elia said.
"There is no doubt that Greg will bring a wealth of knowledge to our investments team, and we are excited to have him join Hostplus," he said.
Hostplus has had a relationship with asset consultant Jana since 2001, said Mr Elia.
