Omega appoints head portfolio manager

Melbourne-based investment management firm Omega Global Investors has appointed a new head of portfolio management.

Simon Tung has been appointed by Omega Global Investors as head of portfolio management.

Mr Tung was formerly a senior portfolio manager at IFM Investors and has 20 years of industry experience across fixed income, equities and investment strategy.

Omega managing director Mathew McCrum said, "Simon will help to us to expand our portfolio of outcome-based solutions. Omega’s unique Smart Beta Plus offering in the Australian marketplace is an example of investment innovation, combining clever risk controls.

Mr Tung previously held roles at Treasury Corporation of Victoria, AXA Investment Managers and Westpac.
