Global rating agency Fitch Ratings has appointed John Miles as head of Fitch Australia.
Miles joined Fitch in 1997 as a bank analyst and in 2005 led the financial institutions team in Australia and New Zealand.
In his new role, he will be responsible for managing Fitch's day-to-day operations in Australia and New Zealand.
"Australia and New Zealand are among the fastest-growing credit markets in the Asia-Pacific region and we are confident of building on our success there under John's leadership," Fitch head of Asia-Pacific Brett Hemsley said.
Ben McCarthy, who had been acting head of Australia, will resume his role as head of structured finance for the Asia-Pacific region.
