Aberdeen Asset Management has appointed former Towers Watson head of Australian real estate and infrastructure, Alek Misev, as property portfolio manager.

Mr Misev will manage the global property strategy and will also have responsibility for launching new products.

Mr Misev was previously based in London at Towers Watson, managing a portfolio of around $6 billion.

"Alek's knowledge of the Australian property market means he is well placed to add value to Australian property investors," said Brett Jollie, managing director of Aberdeen Asset Management.
