UBS appoints Asia Pacific head of global real estate

Trevor Cooke has been appointed UBS’s head of global asset management, global real estate business, for the Asia Pacific.

Mr Cooke will be responsible for managing the company’s Asia Pacific global real estate team and executing the regional strategy.

He will report to Thomas Wels, head of global real estate.

Previously, Mr Cooke was a managing director at the Queensland Investment Corporation where he was involved in business development and product initiatives in Asia, Europe and North America.

Prior to this, he was at AMP Capital Brookfield where he led corporate strategy in the Asia Pacific.

“Trevor’s extensive knowledge and management experience with institutional clients... will be key as we look to build on our successful joint ventures and our existing hubs in the region,” Kai Sotorp, head of Asia Pacific for UBS global asset management said.

Mr Cooke will take up his new role later this month and be based in Sydney.
