Daniel Sullivan joined the business in May, having gained extensive experience across global equities with three major investment firms over the past 21 years, the group stated.
After his technical training in mining engineering, Mr Sullivan became a resources analyst and portfolio manager at AMP Investments, managing $500 million in Australian resource stocks and covering all sectors as the primary resource analyst, 90 West stated.
He later became sole portfolio manager for Zurich’s $2 billion equity portfolios. Then, when Deutsche Asset Management acquired Zurich Scudder Investments Australia in 2002, he gained experience managing pre- and post-tax portfolios, 90 West said.
He later moved into Goldman Sachs to trade long short Australian equities, before taking on a new role as strategic research and portfolio manager.
