Ibbotson expands investment management capacities

Ibbotson Associates Australia, a unit of Morningstar's Investment Management division, has expanded its distribution and client management capabilities with a host of new appointments.

Scott Mclennan will join as a senior relationship manager, while Katharine Jackson and Brent Finneran have been appointed relationship associates, and Amanda Freeman will become an investment services associate.

Mr Mclennan will be responsible for building sales relationships nationally through both retail and institutional channels and has around 16 years' experience in the financial sector, previously working for the Westpac Institutional Bank.

Ms Jackson and Mr Finneran will support the delivery of Ibbotson's investment advisory services and investment management capability with both retail and institutional clients. Ms Jackson was previously an investment adviser for Dixon Advisory, while Mr Finneran has worked for Merrill Lynch and NAB in client services.

Amanda Freeman will be responsible for delivering the company’s service offering to new and existing institutional clients. In addition, she will support the investment advisory and investment teams. Ms Freeman has around 12 years' experience in financial services, spending much of her career in the United Kingdom in relationship and client management positions.

All the new appointments will report to Matthew Esler, Ibbotson’s head of distribution.
