Mr Tsinidis will specifically work on stock analysis within the K2 Select International fund, supporting head of international strategy Nick Griffin and senior portfolio manager Jeff Thomson.
“Within our K2 international strategy, our core stock selection process has performed well over a number of years now,” Mr Griffin said.
“The group, however, is now looking to invest more resources in our international product to help build greater conviction in our core holdings within our key areas of interest.
“In adding to the team, we were looking to find someone who subscribed to our performance-orientated culture but who also demonstrated a willingness to work hard to bring ideas to the table.”
Mr Tsinidis joins K2 Asset Management from Zenith Investment Partners where he was research manager (alternatives).
He also previously worked at Bell Potter Securities as part of a three-person team covering banks and diversified financials.
