Mr Price performed the role of acting chief executive following the departure of John Lombard in September.
Before this, he was the company’s group chief financial officer (CFO) for over six years, and is familiar with its operations and stakeholders.
Prior to his time at Crowe Horwath Australasia, he worked in a number of roles in chartered accounting and manufacturing.
Crowe Horwath chairman Richard Grellman said that as the previous group CFO, Mr Price gained a deep understanding of the financials of the business, which would serve him well in his role.
“We are confident that under his leadership Crowe Horwath will leverage its strong distribution network as the largest of the mid-tier accounting firms,” he said.
