Reporting to AMP Capital chief executive Stephen Dunne, Mr Henaghan will be responsible for the diversified funds range, strategy and economic insights and leading the team responsible for client portfolio management solutions across all asset classes.
He has been promoted to this new role from his current position as head of multi-manager and investment solutions.
Mark Beardow has been promoted from his role as AMP Capital’s head of fixed income to head of the specialist investment teams.
In his new role, he will have the added responsibility of managing AMP Capital’s fundamental equities and multi strategy global investment management teams.
The appointments are in response to David Kiddie’s decision to relocate to the UK.
Mr Dunne said both Mr Henaghan and Mr Beardow were highly experienced investment professionals focused on providing compelling investment solutions to clients.
“I have worked closely with both of them for many years and look forward to the valuable insights they will bring to the leadership team,” said Mr Dunne.
He also acknowledged the contribution of Mr Kiddie since joining AMP Capital.
“He has been instrumental in leading a highly regarded investment team, with key achievements such as the successful integration of AXA Investment Management, bringing AMP Capital’s listed real estate and infrastructure capability in-house and transforming our equity capability,” he said.
“David and I are in discussions about how David can continue his involvement with AMP Capital,” Mr Dunne added.
