Ms Kaye will be responsible for managing Native Title trust relationships by ensuring trusts meet the needs of current and future generations of traditional owner communities and are administered in line with legislation.
She has 20 years of experience in negotiating a number of agreements between mining companies and Aboriginal communities.
Prior to joining Perpetual Private she managed her own business in the Native Title space.
She has also performed a number of other roles, including general counsel and manager of external affairs and environment at Pluton Resources, solicitor at DLA Piper and senior legal officer at Yamatji Land and Sea Council.
Perpetual Private general manager of Title Trusts and Investments Nathan Jacobsen said the Native Title Trusts is a complex area and that Ms Kaye’s experience will bring additional strength to the company’s offering.
“In Western Australia, Native Title is a particular focus area for Perpetual Private, and Pamela will play a valuable role in working closely with traditional owners and other Native Title stakeholders to achieve generational change in communities from native title funds,” said Mr Jacobsen.
