DEXUS appoints non-executive director

Dexus Property Group has appointed Penny Bingham-Hall as a non-executive director to the board of Dexus Funds Management.

Ms Bingham-Hall spent 20 years working in a variety of roles at Leighton Holdings before retiring from the company at the end of the 2009. 

During her time at Leighton Holdings she was executive general manager of strategy and executive general manager of corporate, which involved managing business planning and corporate affairs. 

She is currently a non-executive director of BlueScope Steel, Sydney Ports Corporation, SCEGGS Darlinghurst and Taronga Conservation Society Australia.

Chair of the Dexus Funds Management board Chris Beare said Ms Bingham-Hall is an experienced director and brings to the board “more diversity of thinking from her background in the construction and infrastructure sectors”. 

“I am confident that Ms Bingham-Hall will make a strong contribution to the board,” said Mr Beare. 

Dexus said Ms Bingham-Hall’s appointment will be effective from 10 June 2014 and will be subject to ratification at the next Dexus annual general meeting in October. 

Following this latest appointment there will be seven non-executive directors and two executive directors on the Dexus Funds Management board.
