Mr Karrasch joins from OneVue, where he was responsible for leading the sales effort.
Philo Capital Advisers chief executive Brett Sanders said it was the right time to appoint a senior, with the company looking to “spread the word” on the success of the business in terms of its outcomes for investors and adviser support.
Mr Karrasch said he chose to join Philo after considering a number of options in investment management and managed account businesses.
He said the Philo story was unique and he looked “forward to taking Philo’s services to the market”.
