Mr O’Connell has been global head of research for Macquarie Securities Group since 2008.
He joined the company 16 years ago and has held various senior research positions within Macquarie Equities in Australia and in the United States
AWI chairman Andrew Barnes said the company is delighted Mr O’Connell is joining the board of AWI.
