Following Mr Henricks’ decision to step down from the position, Energy Super has appointed deputy chairman Mark Williamson to the role while director Scott Wilson will move into the role of deputy chairman.
Mr Henricks who held the position of chairman since 1995 will remain on the fund’s board of directors.
“In announcing his move, Mr Henricks said he was keen to remain on Energy Super’s board of directors and further contribute to the fund’s growth and success,” a statement from Energy Super said.
“Mr Henricks guided the formation of Energy Super through the merger of industry super funds ESI Super and SPEC Super in April 2011.”
“The fund has since grown to more than 49,000 members, predominantly in the energy sector, and more than $5.5 billion in funds under management,” the statement said.
