Public-offer fund Sunsuper has announced a new head of retail distribution and advice, recruiting a senior executive from the Association of Financial Advisers and former licensing consultant.

The AFA has announced that chief commercial officer Anne Fuchs will depart the association, having joined in a full-time capacity in August 2014 after selling her My Dealer Group consulting firm to Forte Asset Solutions managing director Steve Prendeville.

Ms Fuchs has accepted the offer from Sunsuper but vowed to remain an important figure within the AFA community.

“I am really excited to be joining Sunsuper but I remain extremely supportive of the AFA,” Ms Fuchs said.

“The AFA, as a professional association, and the broader AFA community are both very dear to my heart.”

AFA chief executive Brad Fox paid tribute to the outgoing CCO and long-time AFA supporter.

“While we are disappointed that Anne is leaving the AFA, we acknowledge that the role with Sunsuper is an outstanding opportunity, based in Anne’s home city of Brisbane and we wish her all the very best,” he said.

“The contributions Anne has made to the AFA over the years and her passion and enthusiasm for our profession will be sorely missed.”
