Felicity Walsh has been appointed to the Sydney-based role where she will report to the head of Franklin Templeton Solutions and K2 Advisors Australia Samuel Mann.
“[Ms Walsh] will be focused on contributing to the firm’s broad-based solutions capabilities as well as K2 Advisors bespoke alternatives capabilities for Australia-based clients,” a statement from Franklin Templeton said.
“In her new role, [Ms Walsh will be] responsible for developing and managing multi-asset, multi-strategy investment solutions for Australian clients.”
Prior to joining Franklin Templeton Ms Walsh worked with Towers Watson within its investment consulting team in Sydney.
Ms Walsh has also worked with Towers Watson in the UK, where she was a senior actuarial consultant.
Franklin Templeton Investments Australia managing director Maria Wilton said the ability to offer clients a range of diversified investment capabilities across market segments is an important part of the company’s long-term business strategy.
"Following the acquisition of Australian equity manager Balanced Equity Management in 2011 and K2 Advisors in 2012, and the addition of Australian fixed income specialists this year, we felt the addition of Felicity helps us better serve clients in our marketplace,” Ms Wilton said.
