Announced at the Conference of Major Superannuation Funds on the Gold Coast yesterday, the award recognises significant contribution to the fund and superannuation industry.
"Congratulations to Maree O'Halloran and Bob Hendricks for jointly receiving the Trustee of the Year Award 2015 #cmsf15," said a tweet from AIST following the announcement.
A statement from Energy Super described Mr Henricks (pictured) as a “leading figure in the energy and superannuation industries”.
“He guided the formation of Energy Super through the merger of industry super funds ESI Super and SPEC Super in April 2011," the statement said.
“The fund has since grown to more than 49,000 members, predominantly in the energy sector, and more than $5.5 billion in funds under management.”
Energy Super chairman Mark Williamson said the award is well-deserved, describing Mr Henricks as a "forefather of Queensland's industry super".
