Andrew Stevens has been appointed in the role and will commence on 1 June 2015.
Thorn chair Joycelyn Morton said Mr Stevens’ “knowledge of technology, both traditional and disruptive, would bring valuable expertise and experience to the board”.
Ms Morton said Mr Stevens was a "quality candidate".

Commenting on his appointment, Mr Stevens said he "looks forward to working with the team and providing assistance as growth opportunities from disruptive technology in the financial services sector [arise]."
Prior to joining Thorn, Mr Stevens held positions with IBM and PricewaterhouseCoopers.
