A former ANZ and KPMG executive has joined UniSuper as head of risk and legal services.

Ruby Yadav has been appointed as head of risk and legal services for finance, operations, technology and projects.

In addition to Ms Yadav, Kate Humphries has been named as head of risk and legal services for advice and employer relations.

UniSuper chief risk and legal officer Sean Hughes said: “By assigning dedicated risk and legal teams to each business unit we can build closer relationships, develop core expertise and be more responsive to the individual needs of our internal clients, and our members.”

“Together we will position UniSuper to create opportunities and make a competitive advantage of risk to benefit our members.”

According to the super fund, the appointments reflect its goal to better align its risk and legal services with the firm’s organisational objectives.

“This new approach recognises UniSuper’s unique insourcing business model, and enables us to address the full spectrum of investment management, financial advice and administration risks arising from the extensive in-house services which we provide for our members,” Mr Hughes said.
