The Insurance Council of Australia (ICA) has appointed a former ANZ executive as general manager of corporate services and company secretary.

Adrian Dolin has been named as general manager of corporate services and company secretary following the retirement of Brian Francis.

ICA chief executive Rob Whelan said: “Adrian brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to ICA which will strengthen and complement our leadership team.”

Mr Dolin will be responsible for board liaison and member services, corporate governance, and managing the finance, accounting and IT functions of the ICA.

Commenting on Mr Francis’ retirement, Mr Whelan said: “I am grateful to Brian for all his service over the years and for continuing to work with us to ensure a smooth transfer of responsibilities to Adrian.”

“Brian has served three CEOs and has helped guide the ICA and its members through some of the most important issues to confront the industry, including the HIH collapse, tort law reforms, natural disasters and more recently the roll out of flood cover to consumers,” Mr Whelan said.
