Perpetual Limited has appointed a new board member following the departure of Elizabeth Proust and Paul Brasher.

Current director of HCF Life and Kinetic Superannuation, Nancy Fox, has joined the board.

Ms Fox’s appointment follows the announcement of Ian Hammond as board member in March, who will become chairman of the Audit Risk and Compliance Committee.

Perpetual chairman Peter Scott said: “Nancy brings a wealth of experience to the board and we look forward to working with her as Perpetual moves ahead with its lead and grow strategy.”

“We will benefit from her deep sector knowledge and leadership experience.”

Mr Scott also thanked Ms Proust and Mr Brasher for their service.

“I would like to sincerely thank Elizabeth and Paul for their outstanding contribution to the board over a period of transformative change for the organisation,” he said.

Ms Proust, who has served as the chairman of the People and Remuneration Committee since 2007, will retire from the board on 5 November 2015.

Mr Brasher, chairman of Perpetual’s Audit Risk and Compliance Committee, will depart on 31 August 2015.
