Club Plus Super has appointed a former Perpetual executive as head of investments.

Former general manager of institutional business at Perpetual Investments Gemma Dooley has been named as the fund's head of investments.

Club Plus Super chief executive Paul Cahill said: “Gemma has more than two decades of experience in the investment industry in Australia and Singapore and brings a broad range of skills to our business from performance analytics, asset consulting and investment implementation through to sales and marketing.”

“At this stage of our expansion and development, Gemma’s appointment acknowledges the increasingly sophisticated nature of our investment offering and the trustee’s dedication to securing the best possible investment performance for our members.”

Ms Dooley will be responsible for implementing the trustee’s investment strategy, overseeing the fund’s investment governance functions and managing relationships with the fund’s asset consultant, custodian and external investment managers.

In addition to Ms Dooley, Nici Andronicus has been named as head of strategic relationships. Lindy Hunt has also been appointed as head of legal, audit, risk and compliance.

“Nici, Gemma and Lindy each bring extensive experience and a wide variety of skills to our business and will be a key part of our fund’s growth strategy in the years ahead,” said Mr Cahill.
