In a statement issued by Treasurer Scott Morrison, it was announced that Allan Moss will become a part-time member of the RBA’s board for a five-year period.
Mr Moss previously served as the managing director and chief executive of Macquarie Group. He is currently a principal at Allan Moss, also serving as an adviser at investment firms Evans and Partners and Anchorage Capital Partners, the statement said.
Mr Morrison also re-appointed Catherine Tanna as a part-time member of the RBA board for an additional five-year period. Ms Tanna, who joined the baord in 2011, will now serve until 29 March 2021.
“I congratulate Mr Moss and Ms Tanna on their appointments and also thank Mr Roger Corbett AO for his valuable contributions over ten years to the deliberations of the Reserve Bank board,” Mr Morrison said.
